Course Title: 

The course is designed to discuss gender issues related to agriculture and rural development, specifically from Nigerian perspectives.

It is expected that the students will be more gender sensitive at the end of the course, hence empowered to influence gender equality in the theory, practice, and policies of agriculture and Rural Development in Nigeria, which is germane to the attainment of sustainable development.

It is a 3 unit course (L-T-P = 2- 0-1) representing 2 hours of lecture, and 1 hour of practical per week over a period of 3.5 months-14 weeks (42 hours). It is expected that the course will run for 42 hours in a semester-28 hours of lecture and 14 hours of practical.

The course will carry 100 marks; 40 % for Continuous Assessment and practical, 60% for end of semester’s examination.
Each student is expected to submit a project report from the practical classes at the end of the lectures before the final semester examination.
